Reverend Caudill comes to us from the Diocese of Kentucky, where she served as Associate Rector at St Luke’s Episcopal Church in Anchorage. Allison was born and raised in Louisville KY, grew up in the Episcopal Church and became involved in ministry at an early age. She consistently participated in the Youth Ministries of the Diocese through involvement with the Diocesan Camp ministry, beginning as a camper and ultimately serving as interim Camp Director prior to starting seminary.
Bonnie has been a church organist for over 18 years and is in her 14th year playing for St. Mark’s. She loves classical music and enjoys the Church’s Hook and Hastings 19th century tracker organ. St. Mark’s has a strong music program and Bonnie finds it a joy to play for people who love to sing.
Originally from Denmark, Ellen and her husband Craig lived for 22 years in Lynchburg before moving to Amherst 2-1/2 years ago. She has served as our Choir Director for almost 2 years now here at St Mark’s Episcopal Church as well as at Grace Episcopal Church in Massies Mill.
Ellen has an extensive background in Voice and Conducting, receiving her B.A. in Music from The University of Copenhagen. She studied Voice for 12 years and recorder for 4 years in Denmark and was a professional church singer and soloist for 13 years (1975-1988) in two churches in Copenhagen – Grundtvig’s Church and St. Matthew’s Church.
Ellen was the Music Director and Cantor at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lynchburg (2003-2008) and at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Lynchburg (2001-2003). She was a section leader and soloist at St John’s Episcopal Church, Lynchburg, as well as teaching voice at The Academy of Music/Academy of Fine Arts, Lynchburg and in her home studio. She also sang with the Roanoke Symphony Choir (2000-2004).
